Executive Summary:
The Amazing Grace Children’s Charity successfully executed a transformative medical mission that took place in Prampram, Ghana, making a significant impact on the local community's healthcare landscape. The medical mission dubbed “We Care” focused on the health and well-being of women and children in the community of Prampram, a subregion of Ghana.
This mission, held from 20th to 27th May 2023, was a resounding success, bringing basic healthcare services to the community, especially women and children. With a dedicated team of 90 medical and non-medical volunteers, including 25 individuals from the United States, the mission provided essential medical care and support to the community.
With a core objective of addressing the pressing healthcare needs of women and children in marginalized areas, the mission encompassed comprehensive health screenings and interventions. A total of 1,083 patients received medical care during the 3-day mission. Through comprehensive medical checkups, consultations, and specialized services, the mission addressed a diverse range of healthcare needs, from general health concerns to more specialized treatments all for free.
The mission went beyond medical care by empowering the community with knowledge and training. Health education sessions covered topics such as hygiene, disease prevention, and reproductive health, equipping individuals with tools to make informed decisions about their well-being.
This mission was supported by various organizations such as the ELIJEKO FOUNDATION, VITAMIN ANGELS, PROMISSADOR, IMAGHE, PEDIATRIC ASSOCIATION OF GHANA, KRISTOCENTRIC & OKB HOPE FOUNDATION.
